The ACS Student Chapter successfully organized a Skill Training Program on Liquid Soap Making in collaboration with the university’s cleaning staff. The event aimed to empower the cleaning personnel by equipping them with practical skills in the preparation of liquid soap, which is both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
During the session, participants were introduced to the basic chemistry behind soap making, the ingredients involved, safety precautions, and the step-by-step procedure to create high-quality liquid soap. The training was conducted in a hands-on manner, allowing each participant to engage actively in the preparation process.
This initiative not only promoted sustainable practices within the campus but also created a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange between students and staff. The program was well-received, with enthusiastic participation and appreciation from the attendees. It stands as a testament to the ACS Student Chapter’s commitment to community engagement, skill development, and the promotion of science-based solutions for everyday needs.
The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sabeel M. Basheer, In-charge of the ACS Student Chapter. The faculty coordinators included Dr. Ritambhara Sharma, Dr. Soumyakanta Prusty, Dr. Satyanarayana Moru, Dr. Bibhab Bandhu Majumdar, and Dr. Paramasivam R. Student coordination was led by Mr. Krishna Vamshi and Mr. Avinash, who played key roles in the smooth execution of the program.
